Program Notes:
Adventure Awaits is an homage to the iconic title themes that greet players at the start of a new video game journey. It begins with a grand fanfare, setting the stage before plunging into an epic adventure full of unknown twists and turns. Drawing inspiration from the music of the Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy series, the piece blends heroic themes and driving rhythms to evoke a sense of courage and wonder, while weaving in moments of danger and reflection. This piece acts as the opening movement of the video game-inspired suite ‘Level Up!’, inviting listeners to press start and step into a world of imagination and thrill.
